About Us

Our Story

Namib Minerals is the first Black African founded and led company to secure a listing on a New York stock exchange, built on the vision of founder Mzi Khumalo.

Since the post-apartheid restructuring in South Africa, Khumalo has built a track record of successful acquisitions and hands-on stewardship across assets in mining, telecommunications, and other sectors—grounded in sustainable value creation that uplifts African communities.

From the start, we have viewed mining as a long‑term socio‑economic partnership, investing in schools, healthcare, and workforce development in the communities where we operate.

Today, we carry this legacy into a new era as a sophisticated mining company dedicated to Central and Southern Africa's resource sector. Our Nasdaq listing brings Namib's African success story to the global stage. With a commitment to transparency, governance, and independent oversight, we are building a multi-asset platform that responds to rising global demand for gold and other metals.

Multi-Jurisdictional Footprint

Strategic footprints in Zimbabwe, with active evaluation of new projects across Central and Southern Africa to expand our commodity exposure and industrial footprint.

Positioned for Commodity Upside

In a market of rising gold prices, Namib's disciplined restart of Redwing and Mazowe, supported by cash flow from How Mine, provides a de-risked pathway to growth and competitive leverage against global commodity cycles.

Mining as a Socio-Economic Partnership

Our commitment to host communities is foundational, supporting stability and workforce development through direct investment in healthcare, education, local employment and supplier participation, and environmental stewardship including significant water recycling and reuse programs.

Institutional Governance Meets Local Insight

Committed to transparent reporting and independent oversight aligned with Nasdaq requirements, Namib is a trusted local partner for global supply chain stakeholders.

Leadership Rooted in Experience

Founded by Mzi Khumalo—a pioneer in African mining, telecommunications, and other industries across multiple jurisdictions—and led by a seasoned executive team, Namib Minerals combines local insight with rigorous governance standards to unlock value in underexplored markets.

Purpose-Driven African Mining Leadership

We operate at the intersection of Africa’s rich mining heritage and the accelerating global demand for ethically sourced minerals. Our values include:

Safety First

We operate under internationally recognized standards—ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001—ensuring a strong safety culture across all operations.

Sustainable Growth

Our growth strategy is anchored in the producing How Mine, methodically restarting Redwing and Mazowe, and advancing exploration while fostering long-term socio-economic partnerships with host communities. We prioritize local employment and supplier participation to ensure economic benefits are shared directly with host communities.

Integrity & Transparency

As a Nasdaq-listed company, Namib adheres to the highest standards of transparency. We are committed to transparent reporting and independent oversight. We are currently exploring blockchain-enabled tracking systems to enhance mineral traceability and support responsible sourcing.

Community Commitment

Through direct investment in healthcare and education infrastructure, we seek to uplift African communities and create enduring partnerships in our operating regions.

Ambition and Progress

In 2025, our flagship How Mine delivered 25,000 ounces of gold, providing the foundation for stable cash flow. We are now advancing the methodical restart of Mazowe and Redwing—brownfield assets with rich reserves and existing infrastructure—central to our strategy of scaling production.

We are actively evaluating expansion opportunities in Central and Southern Africa.
